Through Blooming Life, I offer individual, family, and/or couples therapy sessions and I work with children, adolescents (12 and older) and adults. My clients meet with me for either a 50 minute or a 80 minute session. As an art therapist, psychotherapist and counselor, I employ a caring and compassionate approach at all times. My strengths incude working with youth, young adults, adults, and seniors with mental illness. I am experienced assisting with issues of self-esteem, identity, personality disorders, chronic mental illness, trauma, developmental delays, dual diagnosis and concurrent disorders, family conflicts, and grief. I am passionate about promoting healing and growth through:

  • Art Therapy

  • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Using a psychodynamic person-centred approach, mindful art and spiritually integrated psychotherapy, I can assist you and your family on your journey toward health and an abundant life. I believe that health is influenced by our ability to creatively engage and grow towards our potential, in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capacities. My practice includes art and psychotherapy services, as well as long-arm machine quilting, and Certified Zentangle Instruction for individuals, groups, and companies.

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy addresses personal difficulties. It allows an individual, family, or couple, to talk openly and confidentially about their concerns and feelings with a trained professional.

What is Art Therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that encourages free self-expression through painting, drawing, or modelling, used as a remedial activity or an aid.

Service & Rates

Free initial consultation. I offer a free 20-minute phone consultation prior to starting therapy. This gives us a chance to discuss your situation, find out if my approach is a good fit for you, and address any questions or concerns you might have.

Standard rate. The standard rate for a 50 minute session is $150($132.74 + $17.26 HST). If more than 1 person is attending then the rate is $180. My rate will change over the course of counselling, and according to economic changes; usually on an annual basis. Plenty of notice will be provided regarding this change.

Health Insurance. Private psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP, but coverage may be provided by other insurance plans. Please check with your health insurance provider the coverage you have for a registered psychotherapist, and any limitations for services prior to our first appointment.

Sliding scale rates are available. I have a few sliding scale sessions per month, and we will discuss a reduced rate according to your income level. Please ask for my rate summary.
