Are you struggling with issues of trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety?
Would you like to explore new solutions?
Would you like to understand yourself?
If you are looking to thrive in life, speak to me, a body-mind-spirit psychotherapist, to find out more.
Together, let's create a Blooming Life.
During COVID-19, I am accepting new clients and providing therapy via phone and video. I am here to help. I am taking on a limited number of individuals for in-person sessions.
Your search for help is the first step to making changes and creating a Blooming Life that helps you find contentment and live more wholly.
I believe that in relationship with a compassionate and non-judgmental therapist, you and your journey can be observed and reflected upon, leading to greater understanding and self-knowledge.
Strengths and Solutions.
I want to work together with you to identify goals and methods that recognize your strengths, fit your needs, and integrate therapeutic understanding and solutions. I incorporate evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), sensorimotor (trauma) psychotherapy, art therapy with spirituality and life experiences.
Thriving is the ability to incorporate new solutions and create a shift which leads to having a healthy sense of self, reaching your dreams and living life with satisfaction. I provide a safe and empathetic environment, to encourage life-enhancing expression that brings wholeness, physically, emotionally and spiritually to peoples' life.
As a registered psychotherapist and registered art therapist, I have worked with clients around depression, anxiety, life transition, domestic violence and sexual assault, childhood abuse, post traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma and personality disorders.
My life includes transitions around career and caregiving, grief, mental health-depression, caregiving of family members with mental illness, and parenting. In addition to my training, I see my experiences as real life teaching tools, that help me in supporting the humanness of all of us. I recognize that seeking help is not easy and often comes during stressful life situations. I personally participate in self-care, personal and professional development to enhance my life and support me in supporting you. Being outdoors, with the birds, trees and water as well as being creative are nourishing and grounding. I have two adult children, and grandson and a partner with whom I spend time in nature, traveling and reading. I have a delightful dog named Sadie, who accompanies me on my daily meditative walks, and provides support.
